It's usually followed by a Blank... Stare...
It's a whole other world to them!
In fact, just recently, a company did a pretty big survey, and
turns out 1 of 10 people think HTML is an STD!! haha...
Most people just don't know the terms of our world, just
like we likely wouldn't know ones in theres...
So... here's the issue I frequently come across:
Newcomers to this business thinking that THEY need to
learn HTML, CSS, Web Design, and all the other tech
mumbo jumbo...
Even 'toopid guru's slopping out this bad advice.
Listen: You just don't!
Is knowing a little HTML good to know and will it come in
handy at times? Sure... But you can also outsource any
of that stuff for usually well under $10.00 hr. and I hope
you value your time online more than that.
...Especially when they may can do in 10 minutes what
might take you DAYS to try and figure out!!
Now you're working for pennies an hour...
What you want to focus in on is the 20% of activities that
will yield you 80% of the results.
Usually this is Marketing...
Yes my young Padiwan, marketing and sales is what you
want to seek mastery over.
Leave the tech-talk for the nerds... It ain't for business folk.
Can you afford to pay somebody a few bucks an hour, only
when you need their services to help you grow your
business?
Sure you can...
In fact, you can't afford NOT to...
Now leveraging peoples time isn't the only smart thing to
do.
You can also leverage other peoples brand, business, and
their marketing!
