We live in a catalog world.
Ever remember getting those huge Sears Roebuck
Catalogs?
It was like a prehistoric Google for buying stuff.
Most newcomers just think they can hop on the interwebs
and throw up a 'How To' product and that they'll get sales.
But picture this in your mind:
Let's say you wanted to sell sweaters. You make a darn
nice Sweater and put it up for sale.
Now you've got THE BUYER.
They open up their 'Sweater Catalog', now Google, and see
thousands of sweaters, one after another, miles of them...
How is YOURS going to stand out?
How are you confident YOU'LL get the sale?
That's the conundrum we as marketers and businessmen
find ourselves in today.
Albeit, doesn't have to be a bad thing though.

But get this, people are drowning in choices right now, and if
your product or service doesn't stand out, it'll get lost and
you'll never see the sales you want.
You'll be just another Sweater gathering dust, waiting to go
on Clearance and be taken off the market.

Think of some ways today that you can make what you're
doing stand out from the pack. Some magical twist, hook,
or something else that differentiates you from the
competition.
Ironically enough, I just saw somebody that was taking
sweaters that were given to people during the holidays
etc. and were making PANTS out of them!
Now that's different. That's an idea. And their business is
booming.
Get ye olde Brain Storming cap on and you'll come up with
a solid idea. It's worth the effort. Trust me.
But it doesn't just end at having a great idea either...
You need to have a great back-end too.
Without that, you're STILL LOST.
